Is big hero 6 marvel
Baymax follows one of Hiro's microbots to an abandoned warehouse, where he and Hiro discover that someone has been mass-producing Hiro's bots they are attacked by a masked man called Yokai, who is controlling the bots. One day, Hiro accidentally discovers Baymax. As a result of losing his brother, Hiro secludes himself from others. When a fire breaks out at the university, Tadashi rushes in to rescue Callaghan, but the building explodes and both are killed. Professor Callaghan, the head of the program, is impressed, and Hiro gets in. He presents his project - microbots, swarms of tiny robots that can link together in any arrangement imaginable - at an annual exhibition to gain admission. Amazed, Hiro decides to apply to the school. Tadashi, worried that Hiro is wasting his potential, takes him to the robotics lab at his university, the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, where Hiro meets Tadashi's friends, GoGo Tomago, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred, as well as Baymax, a personal healthcare companion that Tadashi created. In any case, this is different than adapting the usual ancient comics - this is something very new for the MCU and I like the idea that they’re taking a swing like this.Hiro Hamada is a 14-year-old robotics genius who lives in the futuristic city of San Fransokyo (San Francisco and Tokyo combined), with his older brother Tadashi and their aunt Cass, and spends his time participating in back-alley robot fights. Why redo a great origin story? Just make this film retroactively a part of the MCU. Heck, if they just want to say that the Disney Toon is canon to the multiverse and the characters just turn LA when they come through, I’d be totally down. I would think the MCU would lean more heavily on the Disney Toon version while still throwing in material from the OG, making this the first LA adaptation of one of Disney’s more recent animated films - and what a good excuse for it! The show has been enjoyable too, though I’ve only watch a handful of episodes. But the film was a fantastic reimagining that brought the much needed heart and characterization.

The comics were.let’s be honest, I read one book because of this movie coming out and it was a train wreck, an anime wannabe with way too much sexualized imagery and bonkers plots. This is actually very exciting and refreshing.

My initial post has been edited accordingly.
#IS BIG HERO 6 MARVEL SERIES#
(That being said, we still have that Baymax CG series coming to Disney+, so it's not like the Disney version of BH6 isn't quite unalive.)ĮDIT: It had recently come to my realization that BH6's world already has a designated Earth number: Earth-14123. Meanwhile, Big Hero 6: The Series recently concluded and now we're getting word that the BH6 members might be in the MCU? Highly suspect. Just recently (like earlier last week or the week before), they announced Supergirl would be in the Flash movie. A while back, they announced that the Supergirl series was ending. Random thought: This kinda reminds me of what WB did regarding Supergirl. (I almost thought Sunspot was in BH6, but I was thinking of Sunfire.) (Not knocking the choice, just making an observation.) Who knows? Maybe this way, we'll get the MCU version of the Silver Samurai. Besides, The Disney movie did take some liberties with, well, virtually everything. Helen Cho a chance to be relevant again since Age of Ultron. Or, we get actual, live-action, truer to the text versions of the team in the MCU as maybe Japan's answer to the Avengers given how the OG Avengers either went to space, got retired, or passed on.We see the Disney Animation version of the team in something to do with the multiverse, like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.I'm still in the "wait, what?!" phase, but I'll throw in my two cents regardless.
